Fall is evident, winter is nearing, as BNSF 6162 (ES44AC) passes alongside a barren cottonwood tree standing over the Tongue River on the western edge of Miles City, Montana. This picture was one of those quick "surprise" shots because I was expecting this unit to be facing west and not east, had I known that I would have setup for a different shot, but this one didn't turn out so bad. |

The bridge (seen in numerous other pictures of mine) is not only the end of the speed restriction through town, but it also poses as an obstacle for train crews trying to see the signal on the other side of the river. |
